Indigenous Art Works
Art works can be 2-dimensional (2-D), that is painting, printing or photography on a flat surface or 3-dimensional (3-D), objects with depth such as sculptures, carvings, ceramics, glasswork and many more.
It is important to look around you and notice the living art that is a part of your everyday life.
In this lesson you are going to explore:
- art that is on show to people around the world.
- Indigenous art in local, state and national galleries.
You will also (virtually) meet the Winner of the 2020 Archibald Prize, which is one of the most prestigious Art prizes in Australia.
Whenever you get the opportunity:
- watch how others create their artworks and tell their stories.
- stop and walk into a gallery
- search online and see what others do.
