What each of these is used for
Blank canvas – canvas board or stretched canvas or even an old board preferably flat
Brushes – small & larger
Small for the finer work
Large for covering larger areas and shapes
Flat Paint brush – (3 – 5 cm) for covering with a single colour for the background
Sticks, Pencils, Skewers, Cotton buds – these can be used for dots – its about what you have available
Sponge – for dabbing background and blending colours on canvas
Paints – a set of acrylic paints plus white.
These can be found in many bargain shops, or Lincraft or Spotlight. If you are after good quality then an art supply shop can inform you about the different qualities of the brands.
Artists pallet – this is to put the paint on and to mix colours- a plastic lid will do for starters
Pencil – for sketching ideas.
